Definitely one of the best places to eat in St Albans now. The new decor after the big refurbishment is brilliant, and we got excellent, attentive, friendly service from Gurney. Very child friendly too with lots of room for buggies and helpful staff.
I had lunch here today (Wednesday) and liked the restaurant. I ordered the meat platter which I think is to share but I managed it myself :) it consisted of chorizo (was awesome), hummus (again tasted smooth and silky) and dumplings which came with a rich plum(?) sauce. It had olives which I don’t like and plenty of bread which I used to mop up the chorizo sauce (yes!!). I had a berry smoothy which was tasty albeit a little stingy on the portion size/glass size. Overall a great meal. Service was great. I was welcomed warmly on entry and served by an efficient and smiley young lady. It got busy around me as lunch went on and I liked the decor. Good for groups and there were lots of groups of four or five. I would go again.
Such a comfortable place to go for dinner. We didn’t feel at all rushed by the staff, who were welcoming and friendly. The food was tasty and there are a nice selection of vegan options.

What a great restaurant and bar. Had a lovely lunch here with the wife on a Friday afternoon. The food was reasonably priced and good quality. We both had burgers which were really good. There is a wide range of beers and drinks in addition to hot drinks. Would recommend for little people too.
This is my first time at Bill's. We got sent on sofas with our table which were very comfortable! I enjoyed my pink lemonade and I loved the duck curry! It's a great restaurant in st Albans! I highly recommend it!
